Attack at Dawn: North Africa
I am currently playing the first scenario of the full campaign, Operation Sonnenblume. At first, the AI was doing well: it tried to stop me at Mersa Brega, but since it couldn't bear the full force of the 5. leichte then it tried to disengage and live to fight for another day. It was unsuccessfull in doing that: the 132a "Ariete" was blocking the passage. But the 3rd Hussars got away, barely limping. The next day, the 3rd Hussars tried to storm my positions, alone, with only 7 tanks. The next day I attacked Agedabia, and even though they spotted my forces coming from the south days before (the AI does quite well with recoinnassence!), the defences around Agedabia didn't change at all and it was a slaughter (completely destroying both the Royal Dragoon Guards and the Royal Tank Regiment). The next day, the 3rd Royal Tank Regiment tried to storm my position again, completely alone. Another slaughter. Since I am playing at the "Harder" level of difficulty, I got wondering what was the difference between all the 3 levels. I couldn't find anything in the manual or in the blog.
